While TyreSole represents a modern vision for tire distribution, retreading, recycling, and sustainable mobility solutions, our roots trace back to a family business established in Kerala, India in 1982.
What began as a small trading company has evolved through generations of leadership, strategic growth, and a passion for serving customers. Today, TyreSole combines decades of experience in rubber trading, tire products, and distribution with a forward-looking approach focused on sustainability and long-term value creation.
Our story began in 1982 when Ouseph Uthup and his two sons founded Edattukudy Traders. The business initially focused on trading agricultural products such as spices, pepper, and ginger before expanding into dried hill products including nutmeg and betel nut.
Recognizing new opportunities within the rubber industry, the company diversified into natural rubber trading and processing, including latex. This strategic move laid the foundation for decades of growth and established the business as a respected name within the industry.
As leadership transitioned to the next generation, E.J. George guided the company through a period of remarkable expansion, achieving more than 200% growth. Together with his brother, E.J. Sunny, the company strengthened its market presence and became one of India's leading rubber trading operations.
E.J. Sunny also served as a member of the Indian Rubber Dealers Federation, helping foster valuable industry relationships and contributing to the company's credibility and reputation.
In 2002, the company's journey entered a new chapter when Aju George launched tread rubber distribution operations with a single shop in Perumbavoor, Kerala.
The business continued to grow as Anu George joined the organization, helping expand operations into multiple locations. With the addition of Stanly Joseph, the company further strengthened its distribution capabilities and established an extensive network serving customers across the region.
This expansion marked the beginning of our long-term involvement in the tire industry and created the foundation for what would eventually become TyreSole.
Driven by a vision to build a modern and sustainable tire solutions company, Midhun Sunny joined the family business after completing his MBA in Business Administration and Commerce.
Combining generations of industry knowledge with fresh ideas and a global perspective, he established TyreSole as a dedicated brand focused on the future of the tire industry.
TyreSole was created with a mission to deliver innovative tire solutions while embracing sustainability, efficiency, and responsible resource management.
As part of its long-term growth strategy, TyreSole expanded into Canada, establishing a strong presence in the North American market.
Today, our Canadian operations focus on tire distribution, strategic partnerships, and the development of future retreading and recycling facilities.
A significant milestone in this journey has been the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tolins Tyres to establish a tire retreading facility in Canada.
